Yes, it's just about that time. Who are you going to vote for?

A few days before the election and the country seems evenly split. Sure is hard to decide on anything with only two people that have completely different opinions. I predict gridlock for another 4 years. Opinions?

I hear his fam's bought up a bunch of property in south america next to some strategic water reserves. That could end up being one of his vacation spots or possibly a legal sanctuary.

Last push. Looks like it's a dead heat. Are you all going to miss the election activities next week?

make sure you research the other issues that are not the president on the ballot.

The President does not pass laws or control spending ...etc.... in short neither candidate can do the promises they claimed during the campaign ...

The president can propose a bill... just like the 600+ other people in congress can... The President can stand in the way of a bill that passes by veto , but even his veto can then be over ruled by congress ... The courts decide how to interpret the laws that have been passed... the highest court the president can suggest a candidate for a position that opens up... but it is congress that makes the choice of who will take that opening....

In short... the congressmen and congresswomen in the house and senate you vote for have more power , more control, and more influence than the president does....

besides, unlike your vote for the house rep or senator ... the president is determined by the electoral not the popular vote.

So go find out what other offices are on the ballot... those are the ones that will make any difference.

    Default Sam of I am

..well put. We have state and local issues affecting us, as you surely do.

Edit: Darth, that was funnay. Easily your best post. Out here in Rainy Cali I heard Nancy Pelosisssi will be retiring to San Francisco with her lawyer husband where legalizing prostitution is on the ballot. Hopefully, if all goes well, she will start her new career then....

Surely you are mistaken about the powers of the president. Liberals all hold "W" responsible for virtually all ills that have befallen the USA; no president with meager, limited power would have been able to do what he is accused of doing.
    the cake is a lie!
