I know what you mean. Before my partners and I bought a Cirrus, I was flying a 172R. On final at Norfolk International, next to Oceana NAS and NOB Norfolk, at 110 knots, the controller advised traffic behind me and asked me to expedite. I had to tell him that 110 KIAS was as expedited as I was likely to get.
