Exclamation Please help my group out! I need participants for this Chevy Volt Ownership Survey!!!

    Hi,

I'm an advertising student at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. and I'm in a class where we pretend we're ad agencies and our client is Chevrolet. We're specifically focusing on the Chevy Volt and we're trying to figure out who buy these cars. Please fill out this very short survey, it's for a grade, not a paycheck!!

Thanks so so much. We need 75 participants by tomorrow so I hope you guys can do it!

(for the newcomers to the forum this year - Temple students did this last year)

Will all the class members be asking for this survey? Last year, at least 8-10 of the students of your class did this same survey here. After the first few, it got old real fast. Just a warning to you - and your teacher needs a good spanking

I did take the survey anyway. So, it's a viable survey but I don't know how the questions really pertain to advertising. They are more marketing campaign questions.

I suggest rewording a few questions from "you" to either "your household" or "the primary driver" or such, as appropriate (I wasn't the primary decision-maker on the purchase, for example, and my personal income isn't really the relevant number in my case). Good luck!

Need an option for people who have 2 volts, one of which is purchased and one of which is leased.

I did the survey but you should know it has some issue (the most obvious begin that is suffers from serious sample bias, and I don't see how you are correcting for it). If you cannot see that, ask your self what bias is introduce by expecting 75 answers on a web survey in less than a day. And ask what is the biased by pasting that here vs say priuschat.

But the most significant issue is for your prof/school.. since I did multiple last year, and nothing summarizing the results was provided, not even a discussion by the students about what they learned, this will likely be the last survey I do for Temple. People have to see a reason to invest their time to do a survey. Your program seems to want to use the community without providing anything in return. I won't bother with Temple again, teaching students to exploit a community is not something I support. Since this survey has no real value for the Volt market, I did it for your educational value -- mostly so I could write this message.. and maybe get you and your prof to think about of the communities you engage.

Last year I deleted the threads because the IP address didn't trace back to Philadelphia or Temple.
