Like a few others here, I'm just about always carrying heat. I find it calms me right down, and I no longer react to idiots the way I used to - because I know what *could* happen, it no longer happens. Weird, but that's how it works out for me. BTW, I have a 5-7 myself, but don't carry it - too big. The truck gets a .45 acp (CZ-97) in a compartment, and the Volt gets a .38 snubby Ti in the umbrella pocket under the umbrella. Funny how most all the crap stopped once I started doing that, co-incidence? I find perhaps that being able to respond to a hater with a smile gets rid of 'em a lot better than you think (and only you know why you're smiling in the face of abuse).

    Refuse to be intimidated!

While in the store, a man approached me and yelled to me that he would sue me if I touched or opened my door into his car. The owner must have been in the car when I took the photo (oops). Before I could say anything, he then stormed out.
One of the BMW crowd's finest. BMW owners tend to want to win at everything. Hopefully he'll consider an "i" model when they come out.

Don't underestimate a person's ability to read your demeanor. Outside of what I would characterize as petty behavior, no one really acts negatively (especially not aggressively) toward me. I know that, realistically, I can physically dispatch most people, but how is it they know? It's got to be something intuitive.

I own the five seven and it is a great gun I just believe a .45 ACP or a .357 is a far better chose. I am in NY right now and brought a S&W .357 8 shout snubbie revolver with me.

The fact that I carry a gun makes me avoid all confrontations, in fact I would rather be consider a coward because I ran from a fight than engage any physical confrontation or use my gun. Anybody that pulls over and puts their car in park instead of driving away is using very poor judgement.

By the way I spent 20 years as a cop and handled some pretty tough people, but that was my job. Now that I am retired I walk away to live another day

That's what I hate about the stand-your-ground-laws. It takes a certain amount of experience to determine whether or not you are in actual, physical danger, and the truth is, 99.9% of the time, if you are in a car, you are not. Keep driving, and the antagonists will most likely go away. I've only heard of a few occasions when that is not actually the case, but that is just one more reason supporting the On Star button.

BTW, moderators: I have another photo in my album that has been marked as "Waiting Moderator Approval". I blanked out any identifying plates, so is this not allowed?
In the future we would like to see the offender's plate numbers. In this case, there is no need; as you can see, I have detained the perp (and his wife for good measure). He is wishing that the store had simply towed his beamer...

I can't think of worst publicity for the Volt than a shooting incident.

    Just drive away.

    Keepin' it non-lethal, eh?

Well, since we seem to have a good run of amusing photos going in this thread, I'll just toss this out there...

Daily Driver: 2012 Blue Topaz Metallic Volt
    Designation: "C YA OPEC"
Stuff: Everything but Bose & Navigation
    VIN5 / Manufacture Date: C28233, early June 2012.
Hydrocarbons: Appx. 45 gallons burned @ 10,100 mi. on the odometer - of which 25 were used on road trips.

"ERDTLT Mode" and "NO EV-ORIENTED TAX INCENTIVES"
Just two more reasons to move south, and out of Wisconsin!!
