According to wikipedia, it's it's own car design http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Sail

Looks like a late 90's corolla clone but at less than 4meters long (13ft) its' even smaller than an Aveo sedan (Aveo sedan is over 14ft) so probably not.

Interesting that GM is developing new EV technology in China so they can protect existing technology from Chinese 'thieves'. It's a double edge sword doing business in China...........can't afford to ignore that market but you have to wonder if it is worth the cost?
