    Default Lease Price

I've been reading the lease prices posted here and am curious, since we got a totally different quote back in California when we considered a lease in the spring.

Do you guys include all fees, taxes, etc in addition to the base lease... in essence are you sharing you total monthly payment or just the base lease?

I am asking because we looked at the $349 lease back then and were offered a ~ $450 lease in the end, with the argument that there were taxes, leasing fees, etc. So, the numbers you are listing and that we were quoted are completely out of alignment.

I ended up buying the car in any case, but am curious for future reference.

Most people don't post sufficient detail to make the number meaningful. A lease has many moving parts so you have know exactly what was paid. I had a neighbor who told me he beat my Leaf lease by $100. Turned out he paid $5000 more down to save $100 a month for 36 months. And he's an engineer. Or we've had people talk about what a great lease deal they got and then mention they got seriously short changed on the car they traded in.

Going from $349 to $450 is $3600 over 36 months. That's a chunk of change but whether it was reasonable would depend on the number of miles, the options you wanted, and so forth (NAV brings down the residual percentage and miles really bring it down). You have to be all the details.

FYI a few posted people have posted their lease deals with the original documentation. That's the best. You may want to search and see if you can find them.

That is way too high! I just got a fully loaded Volt (cept nav) for $343 a month / $1500 down / 15k mies a year / 3 yr. lease. If they are offering $250 a month but only 10k miles and the down payment is $1000 more, by the time you compare the exact deal, that $250 car would be $400! Let me know if you want the dealers name (socal).

Again, does that include EVERYTHING? All fees, taxes, down payments, trade-ins etc.

I'll search for the ones with scanned deals. Thanks.
