I agree 9 hours and 1600 plus posts, and Moderator Putin shut me down. For a moment I thought this was the Fox News website. Check the analysis I made on their current deal. They lower the miles and raise the downpayment on 24 months, so the car is nearly $150 more when compared to 15k miles / $1500 DP / and 36 months. I did accept the GM's apology, and have no hard feelings toward Keyes. They are what they are. What did our last president say? Fool me once, shame an me???

I too have questions...... I've watched 12 different prices go up about Keyes volt pricing, only to hear from a fourm member here that when they arrived it was the ole bait and switch........ Me I just hate a dealer that post up lease it today for $189 only to say, sorry b!t@ch's you missed out cause it sold or out of stock..... I think if dealers post up deals it should be with vins and pictures..... Otherwise it's all pie in the sky to me.....
You do know that every purchase/deal has fine print, even the official GM lease advertised can be vastly different depending on many factors they can't conceivably list. It's no different than the fuel mileage range quoted for vehicles.

I'm not surprised by these differences, it's up to ME to sort out the wheat from the chaf.

I had a car that drove great, but when it was finally done doing all the driving it needed to do, turning off the ignition switch wasn't quite the end of it. Instead, it would continue to buck and jerk and diesel away until it finally sputtered out with a large whoosh of air.

Dieseling (engine run-on) can occur for several reasons:

    • Built-up carbon in the ignition chamber can glow red after the engine is off, providing a mechanism for igniting unburnt fuel. Such a thing can happen when the engine runs very rich, depositing unspent fuel and particles on the pistons and valves. Similarly, rough metal regions within the piston chamber can cause this same problem, since they can glow red. It has also been suggested that an improperly rated spark plug can retain heat and cause the same problem.
    • A carburetor that does not completely close can contribute to running once the engine is off, since the extra fuel and oxygen mixture can combust easily in the warm piston chamber. Similarly, hot vaporized oil gases from the engine crankcase can provide ample fuel for dieseling.
    • Incorrect timing.
    • An engine that runs too hot or too lean may produce an environment conducive to allowing unspent fuel to burn.
    • An idle speed that is too fast can leave the engine with too much angular momentum upon shutdown, raising the chances that the engine can turn over and burn more fuel and lock itself into a cycle of continuous running.
Perhaps we still have some red hot carbon build up, or hot vaporized gases? As these cool, we can move on to new topics.

Car dealers are just that dealers but no reason to get personal and if business is business no need for apologies are necessary clearly Keyes took this beyond business and made it personal. Look we are all here for Volts if a dealership is not going to treat forum members correctly then we all should move on. Keyes if they are going to treat forum members so badly that they have to say sorry then maybe they don't deserve us forum customers?
    Any input forum members?

Just to be clear. Our moderators reserve the right to close or delete a thread that has ran its course.
(which in this case, it was pretty clear it had.)
Apologies had been made and accepted- DONE

I am merging both threads and they will remain closed.
If anyone opens another thread for this same "incident" it will be deleted.
If you dont agree with that for some reason, feel free to PM me directly.
    Nothing "Putin" about it.

PS> Thanks to DonC and Steverino for the fashion in which you've both handled this, and sorry for stepping on toes.
