    Default Blown Away

    Hi folks,

Just wanted to say hello to my fellow Volt owners and express my deep admiration for this truly outstanding car. I really didn't expect the car to be as awesome as it is. I thought I would be sacrificing an enjoyable driving experience to save some money on gas. I couldnt have been more wrong. In fact its so enjoyable that I would venture to say that it might be the best mainstream car on the road.

Well anyway thanks for such a great forum with many knowledgeable members and I'll see you on the road.

Welcome to the forum! Yes the Volt is an amazingly nice car to drive. Not using gas is a big deal but that doesn't mean we have to suffer in order to do it. LOL

I wish folks would drive a Volt before they open their mouth or keyboard. One real world test drive should be sufficient to convince even the most ardent skeptic just how good the Volt is.

    Congrats on joining us.

    Welcome!

The other day my wife was running late and had to push the Volt HARD. The Volt had no issue "going" if you get my drift. That day was not the most efficient, and some gas was sacrificed. But she did not have to worry about running low on battery range. And that's the whole point of the Volt's "extended range" capability. She could NOT have done this trip with a Leaf or Focus. Only a Volt or Tesla or Fiskar could perform under these conditions AND allow for the return trip. Only the Volt is in my $32k price range. Wonderful car.

Welcome and enjoy your new Volt!

After about 10 months, I am still amazed at how fun this car is to drive, how well it handles, how comfortable it is and how much thought Chevy put into making sure this car's new technology works flawlessly.

All this and I hardly ever use gas, average 2000+ miles on a 7 gallon tankfull, regularly drive over 1000 miles using NO GAS and am over 350 MPG after 10k miles.
