I have two co-workers who drive Ford's right now. First time they have ever bought a Ford. They said because SYNC they will never buy another Ford ever again.

Maybe I can get them to buy a Volt. They seemed to love mine.

7 August 2012 - 2013 Volt - D3079 - Blue Topaz Metallic - Pebble Beige Cloth - Comfort Package and Safety Package 1 came home.

and this is not the first update..

Major SYNC updates that have been released to date include:

G1 V2.0 – availability of 911 Assist™ and Vehicle Health Report for 2008 SYNC-equipped vehicles (dealership installation required) (December 2008)
G1 V3.0/V3.1 – availability of SYNC Services for Traffic, Directions and Information services for 2010 SYNC-equipped vehicles (June 2009)
G1 V3.2 – improved voice command structure, constant display of turn-by-turn directions and GPS coordinates for 911 Assist for 2011 SYNC-equipped vehicles (April 2010)
G1 V4.0 – AppLink™ software application for hands-free voice control of smartphone apps for the 2011 Ford Fiesta only (December 2010)
    G1 V3.2.2 (non-AppLink)/V4.0.2 (AppLink-equipped) – increased MAP support for select 2011 and early-release 2012 SYNC-equipped vehicles with AppLink such as Ford Mustang (May 2011)

So other have asked about GM's own update and it's well know there is nothing to update on any of our cars what we have is what we are stuck with. I have a 2011 I have no power flow meter, no kwh usage, no apps for my radio. it's just a choice I had when i bought the car it's what it is and right now there is nothing we can do about it..

    Just love your volt
GM's stubborn refusal to provide software updates (free or paid), to let aftermarket developers do it, or even to explain their reasons is an increasingly painful sore spot in my otherwise excellent Volt ownership experience.

    Default They may be behind...

But unless GM releases some Volt clones next year, they will have 5 battery powered models before GM's 2 or 3.

Well, so far, I am no fan of OnStar. I still cannot get mine working. The tech rep is SUPPOSED to email me, but thus far, they still haven't been able to sync the system. Not that I really miss big brother all that much anyway. If I can make Bluetooth calls and have roadside assistance, I'm happy. Anything more is just unwanted attention.
