What I said here was incorrect. I just ran an errand and tried it. Once you use the LIST to specifically list some POI (be it your bank, fav restaurant, etc) then the voice command of nav dining show/hide do not work. Seemed like it would logically work that way but apparently they have no way of saving off your specific options (chase bank and chinese) when you do that show/hide toggle.

Same goes for waypoints; instead of manually pressing a location on the map, I should be able to verbally set a destination (while one is already in effect) and have the system ask me if I want to replace the current destination with the new one, or add the new destination as a waypoint on the current route. Again, that's a feature I had in my car almost four years ago.

BTW, I'm not ragging on you - I'm offering suggestions for Chevrolet to make improvements. I want the Volt (and ELR) to succeed, and making the tech as good as other cars in the price range would be a good start.
No worries. I understand your several points you are making very valid concerns and wishes. It can be handy when there is a passenger in the car to do some things or just call OnStar. You are right about the saftey aspect. I did not mean minimize that at all. Lot of my trips are in stoplighted traffic so I can do some things when I'm at a light or just use On*Star.

In your example, I would just call On*Star as it does not take long and it is hands-free. The real world or real need time difference is likely not that great. Of course, I have a 2011 with 5 years On*Star so I'm getting use to it.

Thanks for your thread.
