Wow. I can barely recognize that car as being a Leaf. I seriously doubt it could be restored. I suppose it is possible some of the components survived and might be usable, such as the drive motor and transaxle. Maybe even the battery since it is sealed in its own container and I doubt anything could catch on fire inside since there would be no source of oxygen. That's assuming the heat from the fire didn't kill the cells. Fortunately most of the heat was probably rising.

Well my original intent was for this not to become political. As I wanted to just try and get to the bottom of what actually happened to the car itself. Seems the consensus thinks the car got burned in a fire that was no fault of the car. I mainly wanted to confirm this thought with others seeing as I have a Leaf, and it made me a little worried to see the pictures like that.... I was looking for a good condition Leaf to try and get some parts out of so I could mess around with them when I ran across that. I want to charge the car faster, so was just looking for a charge controller that I could possibly modify. Apparently it can be done since Ingineer over on the Leaf forums has already done it.. Would be great to make my Leaf charge at 6.6. So just figured I would get some salvage parts to play with so I did not have to destroy my car in the process if I try and fail.
