    Default Volt paparazzi

I had my first real experience with Volt admiration today. We decided to go shopping on the south end of town today and had to get on the highway. We were keeping up with traffic when I noticed a blue Fiat 500 come up beside us, fall back and come up on my left. Looking over I saw that the female passenger had her iPad out and was videotaping my car. She was so excited about it so I let her have the moment and stuck with them for a few miles before we got separated in traffic. It kind of made my day that a complete stranger was as excited about my car as I am.

Welcome to the club! I think some other early VOLT owners have commented that they feel like they always need to have the car washed and clean all of the time because of the interest.

I have had people with iPads, iPhones, digital cameras take pics of mine on the road and several times while charging at a public charger. I can honestly say that the VOLT is the most photographed, head turning, and questions asked car I ever had, by far. And I have had several magazine cover type of cars in their first year of production. But none come close as the VOLT. Even after a year of ownership I still have people seeking it out.

I couldn't agree more, I believe this is the best car I've ever driven and look for excuses to take it for a spin.

Funny, I did that same thing last year but it was me chasing a Fiat 500 to see what it was.

I got waved down by 2 dudes in a BMW X5 on Saturday. Rolled the window down so they could ask some questions while we were driving Which were "Is that the electric car?" and "How much did that cost?"

No one has asked me a damn thing. I got more comments and looks when I had my 2011 Hyundai Sonata in March of 2010 as an early adopter I got lots of stares. I got rid of it as it became commonplace. I enjoy having something few others have but nothing yet. Perhaps because it is the DC area and people are used to seeing them around.
