They give you 500 USD off if you opt out of "love it or return it."

Or another way to put it - they charge you $500 to have the insurance policy of being able to return it ;-)

My 2013 is still being built (TPW is this week) and I also plan to opt out of the return policy as I know I'm gonna love it! I have to refuel my current car again today and I'm just dreading dropping $40 in the tank for another 200 miles. Soon I'll be able to leave that all behind... Was thinking on the drive in to work today that my car gets about 20MPG and at current gas prices, that means that my work commute is about $4.00/day (10 miles each way) or $20/week that I'll be saving when I switch to the Volt!

Ill get pics for everyone this weekend, the wife is out showing her family it tonight, (technically it is her primary vehicle) I just did all the research/fell in love with it. She drives like 20k miles a year for work so hoping to really offset our gas expenditures.

So what you're saying is you'll be buying a second one in a couple months? :-P You'd be in good company - we have a couple dozen two Volt families on the forums now.

It turns out Neil Cavuto was right after all - the Volt can be a source of marital strife. Not about plugging it in like he thought, but about who gets to drive it the next day.

I cannot describe to you how accurate this post is about me wanting a volt now, and begging my wife to take it from her!
