Default Chevy Volt spotted on Walmart shelves!

To be specific, it's a Transformers toy and they call it a "Jolt". But it's obviously patterned after the Volt. Couldn't bring myself to actually buy it as it looked pretty darned cheap.

    8/1/12 Got a VIN#! D4285!

Jolt was introduced when the second Transformers movie, "Revenge of the Fallen" was released.
It was part of the GM vehicle marketing tie-in.

Jolt also had an appearance in Dark of the Moon, the third and most recent Transformers movie -- noted on the toy package, I see.

    Here's some links...

Unfortunately, this particular toy gets color wrong, at least as far as the movie was concerned.
Jolt was blue in the flick. There are some pics from just before the movie came out:

Or for easy reference, here's my 2012, which is Blue Topaz Metallic... rather close to the proper color for "Jolt."

And yes, I did consider painting Jolt's little details on my car (such as the silver mirrors).
Kind of an expensive inside joke, though!

Oh! I just saw your footnote after the pic, that you have a Blue Topaz on order.
You're gonna love it! That color looks SPECTACULAR in person. I get lots of nice comments about it.

$7 is a great price on that too. I think I payed that for the even cheaper looking, off-brand matchbox-sized toy Volt I bought on ebay.

Oh we are soooo looking forward to delivery of our Blue Topaz Volt. We could have bought off the lot but really wanted this color along with some other things that come along with the MY2013's.

If I had seen this toy in the blue color I'm sure I would have grabbed it... Thanks for all the background info. I wasn't aware of it.

I got my VIN on the 24th of July for my Blue Topaz. So it's built and I’m waiting for delivery (it's driving me nuts). I have a friend who keeps threatening to buy Autobot symbols to put on my car. But I'm a clean look no decals kind of person.

I see lots of Blue Topaz Cruze's around here and it keeps reminding me of my car I have on order.

7 August 2012 - 2013 Volt - D3079 - Blue Topaz Metallic - Pebble Beige Cloth - Comfort Package and Safety Package 1 came home.
