Well, at the very least, much bigger supporters of Unions in general.

Well, yeah. Thanks to Unions, we have a 40 hour work week and The Weekend. Without Unions the status quo is slowly drifting back to a minimum of 50 hours for salaried positions around here. The 25% extra time gains workers nothing, it all goes to the profit of the company. Recently a lot of companies discovered that there is no law (or no longer a law) requiring ANY vacation time be granted to employees. Now they say they have "Unlimited Vacation Days", which means that we no longer own any time off.

Instead of earning days each year that can be saved for a few years, and being payed for those days when you leave that job, you must have a meeting with your manager to schedule any time off. If your situation is better than that, you can thank your stars that is has not yet come to your area. After all, you have a Right To Work (for less).

Even if your job is not unionized, you do benefit from the pressure that unions put on corporations to pay a fair wage.

I once registered Republican. You remember a time when Republicans were America 1st, Buy American, take care of Americans? Yea, me too. I'm now a registered Democrat, and proudly buying union-made, American wage made cars. CHEVY VOLT, AMERICAN-MADE, AMERICAN-FUELED.

I'd respectfully argue otherwise. The taxes, the money that goes into American roads, schools, social security goes to Japan with ZERO going here. I'll buy American made, american branded cars. Although I have certainly bought Canadian/American split made cars plenty.

I do respect those companies that have at least moved manufacturing here. It's a start. The Chevy Volt's MADE IN USA finally became the tipping point for Toyota to plan to make the Prius here. Finally.

it's a non union scab plant, it's little more than a walmart that makes cars.

While I Vote for Republicains in my local electons (they have the best people running in my mainly Republican area) I Vote mostly Democratic for federal offices, as the Tea Party platform just dosent make sense to me.

Their atacks aginst the Volt also do not make any sense, especialy now that Volt sales are picking up.

Just recently two people that I have talked to about the Volt have purchased or leased one and two others are seriously concidering aquiring Volts.

bought the VOLT only because the HOV GREEN sticker in California. Without HOV, I could care less about being GREEN. What ideology? If there is a V8 with the HOV sticker, I buy the V8.

While I do support unions, I also support workers' not having to work under a union if they so choose. If taking a $25/hr job instead of a $45/hr union job means that the job doesn't get shipped overseas, then I think the worker should have that choice.
