    Interesting, thanks. That's the first indication I'v seen of how they are doing the FCA, LDW, and DIC power flow. the power flow and the Hold mode I'd love to have. I can't imagine what they're thinking with defaulting to 8 amps *every time you drive the car*. That sounds like such a hassle if you don't have a 220V charger.

    Thanks for posting that. I ordered my 2013 sight unseen, so it's nice to see more details on the safety packages and such.

    Default Charging change big mistake

    Brochure says the flashlight is deleted and 110 charging is at8 amps unless you poke 4buttons. While seemingly minor, These are HUGE mistakes. Plugging will be much less user friendly. GM should modify immediately.

    I agree, I wonder what they were thinking?

    Sounds like the work of (A) bean counters and (B) product liability lawyers.

    Where:
    A = the LED deletion, and
    B = the low-amp default charge.

    Really serious problem, I plan on getting a 240v charger as soon as I get my home, but in the mean time I still use the 120v at home with my parents. I would've hated to have had to set that every single time...

    The power information display in the DIC looks really neat though!

    I agree completely. I use the LED frequently and always charge on 12 Amp. I only use the low setting if I'm traveling and the Voltec faults out. Bummer. GM's got to change this.

    Newer versions of the Volt are supposed to be "New and Improved"...This ain't it!

    Dropping the LED sounds like the classic case of decontenting. Seems like later versions of the same car design always have something dropped, maybe it's an interior light, a 12v power port, some chrome here and there, a badge, whatever. I've seen this numerous times on GM vehicles, and I'd imagine other manufacturers do it as well.
