I looked at them and in all honesty said "I can't remember".. there were blank, incredulous stares, so I said "Seriously, I can't remember the last time I filled up. It was longer than 2 months and less than 6, that's about all i know".

Clearly they were stunned. One of them actually swore at me.... jokingly of course.

Yeah my wife gets to tell them never on hers, 2.4 gallons since she started driving it, and the dealer topped it up on the battery "enhancement".

I remember the last time I did mine, on the way back from Vegas, it was a cold windy misting Feb night in Kingman, AZ. I knew I needed some to make Phoenix.

I agree. Best car that I've ever owned.

The electric car will win one day, not because of global warming or enviro-anything, but because it is simply a superior driving and ownership experience. You read it here first.

Does anyone have a print out of some general facts about the Volt or do you just always try to make time to talk?
I have always made time to talk to anyone with interest. But this week I got my Volt Book in the mail, and it came with a welcome packet, including a sheet of cards with Volt facts to hand out to people who ask questions. There was also a smart phone barcode decal to place on the window that people could scan if you're not around the car. It says it just takes them to the Chevy Volt website. Probably won't use the sticker, but the cards are kind of handy.

I really think Chevy doesn't stress the extreme Volt users, unfortunate. I kind of see the general public might be disbelievers when some ones says they never bought gas for their Volt. But they are out there. It is a hard message to advertise off of, but one on one with a parking lot talk offers enough time to get the message out.

And don't forget, a lot of us, myself included, are first time Chevy owners. How important is it that we are out preaching "Chevy Volt" to people and we have never owned a Chevrolet, or in my case a GM vehicle. I have owned 16 vehicles in my time, most of them brand new and I have never been more impressed than I am with this vehicle. Put that in a commercial.

I never would have imagined owning a GM vehicle. But since I married a GM employee... well... I didn't have much choice when it came to getting a new car. Several years ago, I was dreading the day I had to get a new car since there just weren't any GM vehicles that I cared for. We now have 2 GM cars, first for either of us actually, and we are definitely pleased. I can't tell people enough how much I love the Volt. I guess it worked out since I maybe wouldn't have ever considered it otherwise.

Gas stations mostly sell things that are bad for you:

Cigarettes, beer, sugary or fatty snacks; and the the stuff they do sell that is not bad for you is overpriced...

When you drive inefficiency you have to buy gas - yeah it smells bad, is dirty, pollutes the air and depletes your wallet... Bad driver... you must go to gas station and buy that overpriced fuel...

Well it is a necessary evil when going on longer trips... That's when Tesla envy sets in....
