I think it's unfortunate that it appears that the white-plastic-iPod interior shots are more or less representative of what's going to be the interior of the production Volt. The acre of white plastic, seemingly touch-sensitive smooth buttons and the odd screen with a crud-collecting trough right in front of it seem like poor choices for a daily-driver car. Hopefully at least the buttons will be "real" tactile buttons in the final production vehicle and they just didn't have the circuit boards and fascia built yet.

On the plus side, if the pictures are any indication, the Volt will be able to schedule its own charging, so if you have time-sensitive metering you can tell the Volt to only charge itself during the off-peak times, and leave it plugged in. There's a charging schedule screen displayed, and their press release specifically says it's a touch-screen so it might even be intuitive to use.
