Default mass air flow sensor error P0101 P0102

My wife was driving her Volt last Friday in 106 deg heat when she got a CEL. The codes showed P0101 and P0102, which both relate to the mass air flow sensor. I checked the air filter, and it looks essentially new. I saw some info that said that this could be caused by high outside temperature.

    Anyone sen this before?

    Thanks,
    Ron

Maybe. Check this thread and see if it's helpful: http://gm-volt.com/forum/showthread....ir+flow+sensor Also do a search on your codes. You'll get some hits which you might also find to be on point.

FWIW, I'm in AZ and I've not had an issue driving in 110+ heat the last month or so. I'll post back if it crops up though.

Took the car to the dealer today, since the error code had not disappeared. They quickly found a bad wire on the mass air flow sensor -- a repair while you wait problem. Nice easy fix.

I'm glad the dealer helped you on your car problem (Air Flow Sensor/Air Mass Meter) at such a fast pace. All the more reason to love chevy
