    Sure, why not? hahaha.

Of course a reasonable person would plug their Volt into their Kill-o-watt to determine/establish their cost. The guy with the Leaf, Model S, or whatever would need to repeat this for their car because they would use more juice and pay a different rate.

Once you know your car costs, say, $30/month to charge, you pay $30/month. No need to have the car always plugged into the meter.

Yea. Once the cost is established then just pay the fee and be done.

You know some uninformed resident will see the car plugged in and think of the "free" dollars flying into the car in place of gas. Where we all know that it is just a few dollars per charge (in CA we have high electric bills).

I think the biggest hurdle will be getting the line to my parking spot area. I have no idea where the main electrical box is. Of coarse, that will be at my cost.
    Thanks for the info all.
    No Volt yet!

Question, aren't the actual costs more than just the amount of electricity used X price per Kwh? What about supplier costs, delivery costs, line costs, taxes, ext? I'm sure some curmudgeon in the condo association would bring that up.

Then pay the cost. You want a charger? Pay the cost.

If you are in Florida and using FPL they are charging 11.6 cents per kilowatt. My 2012 volt battery takes 10.6 KW to charge so the cost per charge is $1.23. I've been getting around 40 miles per charge.
