More of an observation but the Volt was worked in well several times during Chevy's overall ad campaign of return any Chevy and get your money back if you don't like it and Audi with their fancy electric car ad to make it seem like they actually have one coming very soon, which they don't....

My brother and a few of my friends (one is German) are Audi fans and had previous Audi models. Audi was a solid brand here in Puerto Rico until the acceleration problem appeared, and the buyers lost faith in that brand. Now those same Audi fans would be very disappointed if they went to the Audi dealer in search of their fantastic EV. That is a big example of "vaporware" (offering a product that doesn't exist)!

I am not a big fan of "return it for any reason" programs. Such a program did not save Oldsmobile, and it just invites abuse, whether it's cars, shirts, or dresses.

That being said, why would anyone ever want to return a Volt, unless they got into it over their heads financially? But I still think a test ride at the dealer (perhaps extended) would be all they need.

Get the rent-a-car companies to stock Volts and allow renters to return the cars with full gas tanks but zero SOC.

That will sell a lot of Volts.
