And retailers putting in EV chargers have to pay, often by the foot, for the install process so they will often want to reduce their costs to keep it close to the building. They get the choice on what they want to do with their "private" lot and their private install
Never said retailers could not post any sign they please. Just referencing that you could not enforce non EV's from parking there, legally. Businesses are usually privately owned but aren't the parking lots intended for the general public? Not a lawyer, but that's really no different than you posting a sign outside your business dictating who parks where based upon the color of your skin, I mean car. Enforcing a variety of stipulations that's goes well beyond safety or handicapped individuals is silly. Just me but I would feel ashamed parking beside a handicap space just because I have an EV.
