Default Hoping for a family Trifecta

I stopped by to see my 80 yr old parents today, both retired GM employees. They were very interested in the Volt and mom really liked the white diamond and style . They actually watched as I went through the screens on the computer and explained how it worked . My Dad owns a Caddy Sedan about 4-5 yrs old and a Silverado . He mentioned he may have to get one but didn't know of any dealers in the county that had any. Unusual for my Dad to want own anything a little smaller than a big full size car. I think that would be really cool to have Father, Son, and Grandson all in Volts

The older I get, the less impressed I am with oil changes, radiator flushes, and the whole goop affair of a gas car. The Volt is near maintenance free. And very few gas station stops. All my neighbors appear to be buying electric mowers for the same reason. They're a bit elderly and finding a gas need at the last minute is no fun. I made the same swap out with all my lawn tools, from the weed wacker, blower, and trimmers. All are battery devices now. Plug in and forget. No cords to yank.

Absolutely OUTSTANDING. Hope for a picture down the road. GM really knocked it out of the park. More and more are going toward EREVs due to the long and sporadic charging issues out there today.

I plan to make my Volt experience a daddy, then daughter affair. She will get my Volt when she graduates college in a few years. I'm taking aim at a Tesla S and a Volt for my personal cars. MADE IN USA, FUELED IN USA. Pass it down.

My kids like our new Volt as well. Of course, my daughter (14) says "I want one". I said "took me 48 years to get to the point of buying something like this." I just hope there are jobs good enough for our kids that pay enough to be able to afford these kind of perks in 10-20 years.
