Hmm...which ones are portable? I MIGHT have a dryer plug mounted in my garage in case I need to throw the main and plug in my generator. I could always flip the breaker and make it live, IF I had a dryer plug mounted in the garage, and use it to plug in the portable 240v charger!

The EVSEUpgrade is the most portable with the most options for using different plugs. But you can use a different plug for the Voltec charger from SPX. I don't think it's UL approved for this plug but it will definitely work and it's cheaper at $500.

That's actually exactly what I did. When they were running wiring for my solar system, I had the electrician run a new dryer plug in the garage, and then I got an EVSEUpgrade modified Leaf charge cord, which has been flawless for 7? months now.

Can the Voltec charger be a plug in?? It looks like it's hard-wired?
