Hello, in the past two days I have noticed my OnStar light never comes on and the OnStar button does nothing. Seems like when I shut the car back off and then on it comes back to life. Has anyone experienced this before?

I would run that to a dealer but once it is back on and working does the cycle repeat the next day ?
Can you get any remote data via the internet or smartphone app from the car during this no light on state ?
There are 3 Onstar buttons.

I took it to the dealer for repair. They've had it for two days and have not been able to reproduce the issue. I observe that it happens about about once per day during one of my trips. I cannot nail down the pattern that makes it happen yet.
I am actually having a bit similar issue that also started a couple of days ago. The last time I had any connection to my car that I know of was on Monday afternoon when I used the phone on my drive home. I did not get into the car on Tuesday. I drove it Wednesday and discovered no Bluetooth or OnStar access.
The OnStar is completely dead...I have no Bluetooth connectivity either. All OnStar buttons do not work...the "Phone" button reads "No Phone Available". The Volt tech at the dealership has a full caseload through this week so I will probably get it looked at on Monday.
...Oh ...one more thing...on my drive home tonight I got a 4-chime sound at two different times. There was nothing new on my screen and I have no access to OnStar Diagnostics so I have no idea why I got them.
I will also throw one more thing into the pot... I did update my OnStar RemoteLink app a short time (I cannot remember exactly when) before this happened - but I doubt this has anything to do with it.

We had the same problem on a 2004 Suburban. In our case, when the light did come on, we were able to contact OnStar and ask them to run diagnostics. The diagnostics told them there was an intermittent antenna connection problem. Still took 3 visits to the dealer (had to reproduce the problem) before they fixed it, though.

Had this same issue on our MY2012 Volt a few weeks after taking delivery. None of the Onstar buttons worked, nor did the bluetooth or the compass on the dash. The phone menu on the config screen was totally absent as well.
Pulled the fuse out of the left side fuse panel marker Onstar/phone (F9 i think it is but it's marked on the panel). The fuse looked fine so I just plugged it right back in the panel. Fired the car back up and it's been working fine ever since. Worth a try as it worked for me and saved me a trip to the dealer.
