VOLT STAR TREK SOUNDS ON START UP

I recently purchased a Volt in UK.So far during the first month its been back to the dealer twice for leaks (drivers side footwell}I love the car but paying £30000 for a leaking car from day one has taken some of the pleasure away.Also the electronic sound when you first get in and push the start button have disappeared, can this sound be switched off as I may have inadvertantly done so while messing about with the various options,if so how can I put it back on again.Any help would be appreciated.My local dealer is 200 miles away so not much help!

Try radio settings under config.

The volume control is context sensitive in the Volt - that is, it changes the sound of whatever is playing at the moment (so if a navigation announcement is playing and you turn the knob, the navigation volume changes but the radio volume doesn't.) Tednardo is right - in the config button menu, I believe under radio, there's a whole screen of different volumes you can set - so if the sounds got turned off completely, that's the easy way to fix it.
