Fan and bluetooth phone use

As you know, when the A/C fan is on and you connect your phone with bluetooth, the fan switches to a much lower speed. In the summer it gets really hot in the car without the A/C pumping out cold air. Low and behold, all you have to do is reach over to the fan switch and tap it a few times to restore the fan operation to your desired level. Just do not make to high or it will mess up your bluetooth call.

That is a very good feature. (My GMC Yukon XL has it as well). With the HVAC set at 73 auto COMFORT, I can usually get enough cool air that I don't need to override the fan when bluetooth is active. Not much different than those who don't utilize the automatic controls and pick a fan speed that is too low.

Incidentally, one can bias the automatic fan speed up or down to their preference with the vehicle settings HVAC menu. Myself, I can leave it on 73 auto COMFORT with the default fan speed and be comfortable year-round.

I was making a list of all the items that would change the fan speed other then the ( big fan -small fan button) and phone use was one people might over look.

Another is making a one or 2 degree temperature change on the red-blue buttons.

the above would be short term changes and the preference one Bob_Livonia pointed out stays selected.

We can take adding a air filter as a given :-)


The noise level in the Volt is so low it is interesting that NOW I can hear a change in fan level.
