Love it, awesome execution! I might cross-post this on the Leaf forum, since you are using an upgraded Panasonic trickle cord.

For what it's worth, we had trouble getting a permit for installing a public charging station in front of our house and briefly considered concealing a 240V plug in a hitching post instead. We live in the old quad of a California Mission city and hitching posts are still in our municipal code. The setup would have been similar to yours; I'm really impressed by the attention to detail.

Thanks. The Panasonic Leaf EVSE upgrade was one of the best decisions about the car I've made. It enables me to charge at 240v, is waterproof and portable as well.

Concealment in a hitching post would be very cool -- an ironic twist on history.

Do you have much snow there? Would they normally plow the snow into a big pile where the charger comes out of the ground? This could be a concern where I live in NY.

The way the parking is set up in my neighborhood snow is not plowed to curbside but behind the cars. With any accumulation more than about a foot I'd have to uncover the charger receiver in the ground. But that shouldn't be a problem. With climate change I think big snowstorms in our area will be increasingly rare, but given the other consequences of climate change, that gives me no consolation whatsoever.
