I would disagree with you there. Creating multiple vehicles on a single platform is a huge cost savings. That is where CUV's came from in the first place, new body on the frame of a small car. Same idea with large SUV's, new body on a pickup. As emmjay said, they have already debuted the MPV5 concept. Volt sales are climbing, especially in Europe, and GM would be foolish to not capitalize by expanding the line.
