Visibility and/or Guesses as to 2013 Build Process?

I'm going on vacation the last week of August, so I guess my new car might be a welcome home surprise... BTW, am watching TV as I write this and another Volt commercial is on. They are flooding the air with them...

Welcome to the party! I have a Blue Topaz 2013 on order and have been sitting at 3000 since June 12... My TPW is also 7/23 so you are not waiting alone! It is tough, but EVERYONE says it will be worth the wait!

You think it's tough waiting for them to build your 2013 Volt, mine has already been built on June 7th one day before the shutdown. Why even have order tracking when the plant shuts down for a month?

A couple of my friends have asked me where my new 2013 Volt is and I tell them - its sitting in a parking lot in Detroit. Then they joke telling me that hundreds of birds have most likely crapped all over my new car while it just sits, and sits, and sits in the baking sun.

So what is the truth, I know this, my 2013 Volt was built on June 7th and I have the VIN. I am stuck at 3800 on the tracking website. So what are the odds that my Volt is baking in the sun in a huge parking lot waiting weeks to be shipped?

Definitely! As impatient as I feel waiting for my car to get built, it must be so much worse to know that your's is built and sitting around waiting to be delivered. Kinda like when I sit at home on launch day of a new iPhone waiting for the UPS truck to drop off my new phone ;-)... only worse!
