With the blacked out grille covers, Some people are likely to think it is a Cruze.

Not sayin' it looks bad, I like the look of the front of the Cruze.

I'd tend to agree there. I think the full chrome grill is a bit of a trademark of the Volt almost. It's really the quickest way to differentiate between the Volt and Cruze from the front. No other car has the full chromed grill that is so distinct to the Volt.

I was just thinking... since my Volt is black and that those grey plastic trims at the bottom of the car annoy me... would a black and then gloss finish on it actually stick to the plastic ?

I know there are a couple people who have painted the plastic to match the body. Any paint shop should be able to do it, or tell you what you need to do.

I did mine the same color of the car, I hated the awful grey looking grille, when looking at a $40k the first comment I got every time on the car looks was..."that is a cheap plastic looking grille" now I get "I did not know the Volt had a color key grille"

1 can of color key paint, 1 can of clear coat, about 2 hours of work...

The bowtie, CF Red...remind me of my first Chevy...1989 Cavalier 2dr Black...I could only afford the base...but with the red bowties and wheels of the Z24 no one knew :P
