Default Open and close Volt with cell phone

Hi, I wan't to be able to open and close a Volt with my cell phone.
I installed a device that sits inside the car and is connected to the OBD port. There are different CAN buses available on the OBD2 port, but on none of them I was able to open or close the car.

Here we don't have this (Android? iPhone?) App that can be used together with the car, so I have to do
    it myself.

    Any ideas?

No idea. In the US, that's built in OnStar functionality. Maybe if you installed a cell enabled antitheft alarm?

From what I understand, the remote control key FOB contains both a battery-powered transmitter to send commands from the buttons to the car and a passive RFID chip to sense proximity and enable unlocking and starting just by pushing the respective buttons on/in the car.

I'd like to figure out a way to duplicate the RFID chip in the key FOB with a RFID card the size of a credit card. Then I could keep it in my wallet (allowing me to unlock and drive the car), so I would have one less thing to carry.

Bummer about the lack of OnStar. I assume that the issue is the CDMA network protocol. Perhaps if there was a GSM-to-CDMA converter that you could install in the car, then it could receive the commands from the server (through your local GSM network), and then convert the data to CDMA so the car could receive it. Of course, this assumes that GM even offers OnStar service outside of North America (which may not be true).

Otherwise, since the CAN buses don't cooperate, you might be able to modify a remote control key FOB, using your own relays to close the circuits on the buttons - based on commands from a receiver that is located inside the car, and that connects wirelessly to your cell phone (via GSM, WiFi, or Bluetooth).

In the usual place - on the underside of the driver's dashboard, toward the left side.
