I am looking to purchase a Volt Premium and I'm not sure if the cost difference of $ 2000.00 to move from a 2013 to a 2014 is worth it..
    The 13's I see have from 30,000 - 45,000 miles on it.
    I see a 2015 with a Price difference of $ 4000 - 5000.
    Am I correct?

I've been following the Volt since before they came out on the market and have always wanted one. Finally, I decided it was time and ended up buying a 2013 with only 13k miles on it for about 16k. It looks brand new and still has all the warranty on it. The deal just seemed too good to pass up. I was originally looking at a 2017 on a lease but figure my mileage I drive every year would push the lease cost up a lot and seems I can buy this one and drive it as much as I want and throw it away at the end of the day for significantly less than what I would have paid for the lease. Guess we'll see how it works out...

Hello...... Congrads on a good deal. I found two 2014 with about 15-17K miles for about $15-16K on them back in March but decided to get a 2015 demo instead for 19.4K +TTL. Down in FL. Hard decision.
I proabally would have bought the one 2014 for 15K but it had this funny interior with white seats that had black borders on them. Must have been customized by the previous owner.

Have not seen many 2013/14 for 15K at that low mileage. Not sure why this is sticky

Where was the car at with the black and white seats? I'm in Plano Texas and my local Chevy dealer has a gray Volt for sale with those exact seats. Insofar as I know, this was not a factory option and it would seem odd to find that same combo in two different cars

Just for an additional data point, I bought a MY2013 Premium Volt in December with 39k miles for $13k. It felt like a good deal.

I'd say so. Seems like the deals continue to get better as more options are hitting the market in the EV/hybrid segment.

Just look at what has happened to Focus Electric prices! I've seen several 2013 with ~25k miles for under $9k!

The Volts haven't been hit as hard, probably because they have the added dimension of the range extender - but wow.

In late 2014 around August or later
General motors decided to install the newer 2015 volt battery into the new volts at the factory
These batteries are 17.1 kwh 360 volt lithium ion

I appreciate you sharing your experience, as I am deciding between two Volts now.

#1: 2013 White Premium Volt (loaded, safety package II, etc.) with 38,000 miles for $12,800 out the door
#2: 2013 Black Premium Volt (loaded, safety package II, etc.) with 78,000 miles for $11,000 out the door

I've been struggling to decide but am leaning toward #1 because it comes with a limited warranty (it's GM Certified Pre-Owned--I know, probably a rip-off but I wouldn't mind hedging here).

And #1 has 40,000 less miles, seems like a no brainer to me
