Default Scratches on the rear bumper

I wonder if anyone else has what appears to be scratches on the corners of their rear bumper. I don't believe I've scraped anything backing up. It's probably more apparent on my white diamond tricoat paint. Is that paint that easily scratched from just driving?

No, the paint does not scratch by simply driving the car down the road. Paint gets scratched in the usual ways: something with an edge rubbing or sliding against it. Shopping carts, luggage carts, bikes, metal belt buckles, keys, fingernails, bush branches, etc.

There are some products designed to polish out small surfaces scratches.

Default Looked at a lot of Volts. All looked great.

I use 3M scratch remover, $9.00. The best there is. The paints used in MFG cars by GM is wonderous. The level of purity is so good, they pretty much guarantee it for 100,000 miles against defects. Whichever way it goes, you're fine.

The picture suggests this is a paint stretch. When you back into something and the plastic gives rather than breaks like in the old metal everything days. The paint gives off a subtle lighter hue from the stress change.

IMHO this is FAR from the truth. The paint quality in my volt is quite poor! Flaws everywhere, drips on by the handles and foreign matter in the paint. From the factory even! Along with the same reported misalignments others have spoken of in the hood and bumpers, GM could have done A LOT better in this area. Most probably wouldn't notice it but being a detailer, I guess it's just natural for me to spot the flaws.
