Milestone !!! Not bad for a 'hybrid' :-)

P.S. I saw one person was creating graphs on this data and had it in a PDF. Wondering if they are keeping that up? I'd like to see the shape of it as more cars are added and it curves more up instead of a straight line plot. That has to be the making of a good news article and the forecasting of the line.

I'm still surprised the electric comes in at only 62%. Somebody is not charging their car and or taking REALLY long trips.

My Volt commutes 20 miles more than "80% who travel 40 miles/day" stat and I still get 80% electric.

Good summary Scott. The miles will just keep building faster as more come on board. Just think pretty soon some oil company will have to cancel building/replacing an oil tanker ship due to the VOLT.

I hover right around 69-70% Electric. I enjoy seeing my kids and driving across the state to see them, so I use my gas then. However that is the beauty of a VOLT, within one car which can do my daily driving in EV and then I can take a long distance trip whenever and wherever I want and just use gas at 39-42 mpg (gas only). No other car can do that.

OnStar doesn't even record half my EV miles. Glad my employer doesn't have access to my OnStar data because according to it I haven't gone to work all week!

Here is an example of what I was talking about in my P.S.

    Dramatic upswing!!

Blue is 2012 (as of June 23 that is why it is shorter)
    Green is 2011

I believe it was 75% and was 40miles/day or LESS. The people with short commutes <10mies roundtrip can easily have their electric percent skewed down by long intermittent drives since there total EV miles is relatively low.

I'm at around 54% due to some 500-800 mile trips. Much better to take the Volt than our Rav4!
