Buick Trademarks Electra. Volt Sibling Coming?

It's an appealing name for an electric car, too, but maybe Buick should bring it out as a sporty, top-end gas guzzler in order to pay homage to the current Greek tragedy (Electra having been, after all, a character in a Greek tragedy) - it could be offered with a special financing package: ("Don't worry about the payments or how you can afford the gas, just sign on the dotted line and let the good times roll!) :-)

Taxes? ............ha, just pay them if you are honest enough, otherwise pretend they don't exist.

If I were to guess the future, I would think the "Electra" would be an Ampera rebadged as a Buick. It would be quick to implement, being little more than a sheet metal change, and the sheet metal version Ampera is already rolling off the assembly line, so there should be no extra cost involved. (You probably noticed a bunch of people on here have been drooling over the Ampera styling already.)

Jerry, not sure if you saw this but in another thread a member had a web site where a Chevy dealer mentioned the arrival next year of the Buick Ampere. So you could be right. That said, I'm not a fan of making of rebadging.
