    Lightbulb A/C Dash Vent locations

Now that summer heat is starting to show up I'm starting to really use A/C in comfort mode. I wish the dash vent locations were moved so the vents could easily blow on my face. Both vents on the driver side are mostly blocked by the steering wheel.

I also wish there was some way for it to blow colder air more slowly. As it is, the fan blows so loudly it is hard to have a conversation.

I noticed all of the above on my recent second test drive. The loud fan thing in particular - basically, I would have appreciated a couple more fan speed settings.

add a filter- see other posts on this- This way you get a one notch lower air flow. AND you can always lower the speed with the buttons to over ride the auto setting.

I guess you can always pull the steering wheel in-out and adjust the seat to get more direct air.

Use Eco mode, it reduces fan speed, (about half) and you can adjust the temp to Low which will give colder air.

Yes, I doc'd the same thing.

Here is what I've done and suggested. Works great!

I ended up doing what Scott suggested and using the passenger vent to blow on my face. That works as long as there aren't any passengers.

In the spirit of the Suggestion Forum, I request that that future versions of the Volt:
    1) Move the vents so they aren't blocked by the steering wheel
    2) Add more fan speeds
    3) Add a better way to control fan speeds. (knob or slider)
    4) Quieter fans

As well when there are not rear passengers. I can point my right driver one down the center to the rear. Did that last weekend when 3 of us were in the car and my wife was warm in the back (Sun coming in window too).

I do like this in the winter because I don't wear gloves and I can point them right at my fingers. I mainly use the seat warmers and sometimes the low heat (modest temp) for my fingers.

Well it is 110 F here and I use ECO/AUTO 90% of the time. Really the only time I kick in comfort mode is after a direct sun soak and the interior is really toasty, but then I usually to a remote start and precool anyway.

You can go to the vehicle configuration menu and bias the automatic fan control faster or slower. But you can't haved it both ways. If you bias down the automatic fan settings it won't cool as quickly or provide the comfort. I believe the auto function gives the best tradeoff and I keep it on auto fan always. If you are using the bluetooth hands free phone, the fan speed drops when it is on auto.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe when you push the "auto" button it defaults to the comfort mode.
