I have, he has posted in multiple threads about this dealer ... and now the bad is rolling in. As long as he follows up and posts the full details of his "great" lease , then all will know.

I agree, every one should have a low cost, no BS dealer ... and when we have real numbers and more than a single new forum member posting its for real after the contract is signed ( meaning all the costs are account for ) then we will know if this is Stringray west-coast

    Henry,

I don't understand why you are so damn hostile here. Makes no sense! California residents HAVE TO buy from a California dealer, so Stingray wouldn't benefit from any CA sales for HOV Volts. Tone it down. GEEZ!

I am doing my best to coordinate the best deals on Volts I can in Los Angeles for So Cal residents. It is very difficult to do. Most dealers won't do it and all dealers here are very high on their lease payments they tried to offer me. Rick at Keyes was the lowest I could find out of 10+ L.A. area dealers I checked with.

I still haven't seen or heard from any CA resident that got lease rates at: $300 or even $350 INCLUDING our 8.75% CA sales tax. Why don't you try calling around and see for yourself?!!!! If you aren't willing to do that, please just keep your harsh comments to yourself!

Until someone posts the numbers of the deal they actually closed with this dealer I would consider this thread spam.

I gotta say that I agree. I almost asked if CTS-V was "Rick" because of all the posts.

If Rick wants to be Stingray of California then let him post some numbers here for everyone to see. This is the largest Volt community, he'd definitely drum up a lot of business - look at Stingray for proof.

    Ok, I am not Rick.

If you guys would read this entire thread, you would see the numbers Rick gave me on a fully loaded 2012 Volt, which were lower than any other dealer out here that I checked with.

What more do you guys want?

Lastly, if you guys are NOT in CA, what's the point coming on here and battling with me?

This thread is meant for CA residents ONLY.

By the way, my name is Shawn and I work for a Harley Davidson aftermarket company in Sherman Oaks, CA called Dr. V-Twin, Inc.

Our website is: www.drvtwin.com and I can be reached there by phone at: 818-501-8946 if you guys want to verify my identity.

Keyes Chevrolet is down the street from my work and I don't work for them or benefit from Keyes Chevrolet in any way, except getting a great deal on my Volt and Volts for my family members.

I kind of regret starting this thread now.

Shawn, I appreciate you doing the legwork and reporting your find here. Good deals posted here are bound to be met with skepticism at first. Most folks have had bad experiences with car dealers.

BTW everyone: Here is a typical lease offer here in Southern California:
"$369 Per Month for 36 months w/ $0 due at signing. Tax, title and dealer fees extra. Mileage charge of $.20/mile over 36,000 miles.
Example based on MSRP. Each dealer sets its own price. Your payments may vary. Payments are for a 2012 Volt with an MSRP of $39,995, which includes destination freight charge. 36 monthly payments total $12,899. Option to purchase at lease end for an amount to be determined at lease signing. Mileage charge of $.20/mile over 36,000 miles. Ally Bank must approve lease. Lessee pays for excess wear. Payments may be higher in some states. Not available with other offers. Residency restrictions apply. Includes benefit of tax credit, which benefits the lessor. Take delivery by 7/2/12." <Taken from a local Chevrolet website>
    Note: that's for a "stripped" Volt ($39,995).

He gave me a great deal and my dad and brother are going with him. Nobody in So Cal came close to his lease quotes.

Speaking as an owner and basic forum member ...
I was lucky enough to get my Volt via a good dealer because of this forum and have highly recommended them several times.

Shawn, thanks for the efforts and the thread. Word of mouth is a lot on this car. It would be very cool if your dad and brother also got a Volt.

Hopefully others get ahold of Rick, the general manager, and verify the deal. There seems to be only upsides to this as long as people using the information do their due diligence.

I've never leased in my life so I'm not aware of the subtleties. CA is hot now and surely will help overall Volt sales. More the better to make the believers. i.e. Yea, I bought the Volt because of HOV but what an outstanding car it has turned out to be.

I don't think anyone said they got that low of a lease payment, just that they ran the numbers through a lease calculator and came up with that payment. Much like the discussion of a Stingray lease here: http://gm-volt.com/forum/showthread....4-Lease-Number
Henry, you give great advice, but a little Neil Diamond is showing up in your postings here. :-)

I didn't realize that while I was posting that someone else posted essentially the same thing - that this thread is becoming Spam. It may seem like I was piling on, but I wasn't.

But, it's still enough. Without detailed numbers this thread is useless.

FWIW I feel the same way about the EV Badges guy that bumps his thread every 2-3 days.

And, SoCA, comparing Henry, who's helped at least 20(+++) people buy (either from Stingray or by comparing their numbers) to Neil Diamond is low. We've had several other dealer reps post their "deals" here and without people like Henry and Charlie folks would think buying a DEMO with 2,000 miles for $1K off was a good deal. Defending "Rick" when he hasn't posted an actual deal or numbers is silly IMHO.

It appeared to me that Shawn has good intentions so I think you guys are a little harsh. I say that as well because he even went so far as to give his name and place he works with their number. To me that says something. Obviously he provide Rick's email and phone so people who genuinely are looking for a Volt in CA can call to get details and do their own DD.

That being said I appreciate other forum members keeping people honest.
