A lot of people don't understand why, so it's worth repeating. The other dealers will lose a lot of money if they try to match it.

That's because a handful of dealers get an extra $2,500 from GM for every Volt they sell through the end of August (if they managed to sell triple their GM-assigned quota from a few months back). A couple dealers are aggressively selling Volts through these forums at invoice minus $2,500 or so (passing on the extra $2,500 to you), so if you call a dealer and ask for that price, chances are very good they will be losing at least $2,000 on the sale -- which pretty much guarantees they won't match it.

*However*, I was dealing on phone and email with four SoCal dealers and no one even came close to the Keyes deal even after pressing the others multiple times with "I will come buy a car today if you give me a better deal". I did mention that I was a volt forum member (well, lurker at that point), and their lease deal was always considerably lower (especially with stock on hand). I wonder if the other dealers might have budged if I had gone in person with a check in hand - but Keyes cuts out all the BS for forum members. Asaf was *awesome*. In the end, I got a fully loaded car for lower than the price of other dealer's base car deals.

Also, I was in a bit of a rush as my wife was past due with our first child, and the whole thing from first txt contact to drive-off was less than 18 hours. We had our son the next day, drove him home in the Volt and to his first two Dr appts. I mention this because he has never in his life traveled in a car under gasoline power! (an aside: he will hopefully live to see the 22nd Century!).

Thanks again to Asaf and the whole Keyes team!

    Spencer,

CONGRATS on the new addition to the family or should I say TWO new additions to the family! That is very exciting! A new child and a new car at almost the same time!!! Rick and everyone here at Keyes is truly on a different level over other dealerships. I am glad you were able to get into a new Volt. Rick is out to be number 1 in sales in the entire U.S., so he is aggressive on pricing and most importantly, very nice to deal with!!!
