Now I was a little skeptical when CTS-V-Twin rants about how great Rick at Keyes was. Last night I emailed Rick asking about what he has available and whether he'd honor the $2,500 below invoice price. Rick responded to my email asking when I would be able to go in. I responded and left him an email and a voice message on his cell phone. When I arrived at Keyes, I find out that Rick is on vacation today. Asaf is there when I come in and he says he is assisting Rick. So they honor the $2,500 under invoice price but when they bring back the lease figures, it didn't exactly look right so I question them and they make the corrections. I can only presume it was an innocent mistake since they willingly made the corrections. Just make sure you do your research on the full lease terms just to make sure no honest mistakes happen to you. So far, this sounds like a pretty typical customer satisfied, customer buys the car story since I ended up leasing my base $39,995 MSRP Volt for less money down and less monthly payments than the advertised Ally deal.
So your lease payment is under $269 a month? My dealer in town has the same Ally lease deal (Haven't checked on how much under invoice), my question is, isn't there tax adding to the monthly payment?

There is always your local CA sales tax rate added to whatever Ally advertises or whatever your dealer advertises. Call Rick for a quote and compare to your local dealer. Rick has beaten every Chevy dealer so far that I have compared rates with.

Thanks for the info, and that's exactly what I plan to do, check here locally first then Call Rick if they can't get me a deal here. Looking forward to getting a Volt in a week or two, paying off my Solstice GXP this week to make budget room.

Does anyone know what the numbers should be for the 2-year lease being offered in 2012 models?

Let's say I want a Blue Volt with Park Assist Pkg, Premium Trim Pkg, Low Emissions Pkg, 17" Sport Alloy Wheels, Audio System w/Nav, and Premium Bose Sound System for $45,270.

If I'm offered $3,000 off the MSRP, plus I put down $3,000 in cash, plus add $1,000 from my GM Card, that would bring the amount financed on the 2-year lease to $38,270 (cap cost $42,270 with a cap cost reduction of $4,000).

I believe the money factor is 0.0024 (5.76% interest rate) on that 2-year and the residual value is 66% ($29,878.20 for a $45,270 car). I thought I read somewhere that the Ally incentive for the 2-year lease was $5,700 - is that included in the 66% residual value?

I'll be driving the Volt 12,000 miles annually (mostly commuting 38 miles round trip). I believe DMV fees will be about $600. Sales tax in my area is 8.75%

When I use http://www.leaseguide.com/calc.htm to calculate the monthly payment, it comes out to $586.88 - is that right?! If not, what am I doing wrong??

I recently leased for 2 years. Your numbers are way off. First, the money factor should be .000416667 (1%). Second your residual should be even higher as my 66% was based on 15,000 miles a year. If it is like a 36 month lease, the residual for a 12k would be 2% higher, so in your case, 68%. The 5700 is a has nothing to do with the residual, that reduces your Cap Cost. Residual is based off the MSRP (45270.00)

Rick said Ally just released a 24 month lease program and it wasn't bad. Call Rick and talk numbers with him. You got nothing to lose. A 5 minute phone call could save you a lot!

Tell him you are a Volt forum member! He is giving the deepest deals to forum members.

    Call or text him: 818-231-1286

Does anyone know if the 24 month lease invalidates the $1500 CARB rebate? I think I recall reading something that said the rebate was only valid if you purchase the car or lease it for at least 36 months.

    Thanks.

I am pretty sure you get the CARB cash rebate. $7500.00 Federal Tax Credit goes to Ally or the leasing company you go with.

Rick would know for sure. Send him a quick text! He answers pretty damn quick! I did my dad's 2012 Volt deal via text message! LOL!

    Rick makes it very easy!

I would check into that with someone/something official - no offense to Rick, but that's something I'd want to have in writting. There's several folks who had to return their rebate (IIRC it was pro-rated) when they sold their Leafs before the 3 years was up.

Rick is the man in charge of Keyes Chevy. He is the general manager. He is well informed and will have that info for you. He isn't a salesperson.

You can always call the CARB if you want. That may take longer to get someone on the phone though.
