I listened to the Dan Akerson interview on CNBC this morning (while I was driving my Volt). I was once again very impressed with his demeanor, and how articulate, considered, and precise he is. I like that he is responsive, rather than just referencing talking points regardless of the question (typical of so many politicians).

Akerson is a great executive and business leader, and General Motors is very fortunate to have him.

I agree completely. I was also very impressed with his performance in front of Congress during those NHTSA hearings, and his other public appearances I've seen. No BS, seems to be a straightforward guy. He spoke his mind during the Volt "fire" nonsense.

He's a U.S. Naval Academy graduate, Class of '70. This year, he was honored with the Distinguished Graduate Award, which is an extremely high honor (only about 5 people per year are selected for the DGA).
