That's also partly a function of Mylink + how well the smartphone interfaces with it.

For example, I have a windows phone. In a 2012 toyota camry, the voice system DOES indeed read my text messages to me and allows me to voice command "reply" or "ignore". However, this is not a function of the camry, it's only my windows phone sending a "phone call" over bluetooth to the car. The notification that i got a text message, the voice interaction and subsequent dictation of the mesage and transcription of my reply is all Windows Phone and the camry just thinks I'm on a phone call.

Doing the same thing in my Chevy volt with MyLink so far does not work (sigh).

Mylink as used in the Spark has the GOGO Link app for nav. I'd be surprised if it's not made available for the Volt.

Pretty cool. Maybe this will be the first downloadable software upgrade for the Volt.

The 2013 Nav supports a QWERTY keyboard layout. The nav is still very disappointing and primitive. You are better off with a $100 Garmin.

I don't mind the nav, it's far more convenient than the $200 Garmin that I have considering it's available at the touch of a button(unlike the Garmin, where you have to plug it in, set up the mount, deal with a hanging wire through your trip, and then hide it when you're at your destination so some moron doesn't try to break in and steal it, rinse and repeat for the journey back).

I think the nav sucks for checking traffic compared to google maps on my Android phone.
