Default New Volt Owner in Summerville, SC

So last night I took the plunge into Volt ownership. I've had a Nissan Leaf since November of last year, and it's been amazing. I've been working on getting my wife an EV ever since, but wanted something to be road trip capable, and use as little gas as possible. My wife suffers from range anxiety, so the Volt was a perfect fit. We found a great deal on a 2012 black, and with the 0% financing, it was too easy. I'm really excited to have another forum to comb through, and the first order of business is to get the windows tinted, and the bow ties blacked out!

Charlestonleafer, how would you compare the ride, handling, acceleration and just the basic feel of the two cars? I haven't seen a Leaf yet and obviously haven't test driven one. I've heard a few things but it would be good to get more real life accounts of the two cars. TIA

Welcome! Here is a link for the black vinyl for the bowtie: eBay or eBay2 or eBay3
You will have plenty to cover both bowties and anything else. Just press it over the bowtie and mold to the shape, making sure there are no bubbles. Carefully use a boxcutter/exacto knife to trim along the seam between the plastic and the chrome. Easy.

Congrats on the car and welcome to the forum. There is a group of Leafers/Volters here (moi included). I think your wife will really like the Volt. It's a spiffy ride!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

@ Kup The Volt and the Leaf are both very nice cars, the best 2 i've ever owned actually. The volt seems to have a much sportier feel, probably handles better, based on feel only. I will say the Leaf appears to have more legroom for rear passengers. I am also impressed that on the first day my wife drove the vehicle to work, she was able to get 41 miles of EV range! It is also worth noting that the upgraded EVSE I use to charge my Leaf will also charge the Volt @ 240v.
