yeah...they are on the same link...not showing up?
oh..I had to change the setting to public for that pic..so fixed
I have put about 10hrs on the system now so figured I would see what she really had today and dialed up the bass....needless to say I had to put the setting back where the installer originally had it....it was fricken rediculous...actually kind of embarrasing because it was rediculously loud...I thought the subs were going to pop open my hatch back...It is unbelievable what those 2 8" subs can do.....I'm really happy with how clean the sound is and how responsive those JL subs are....first quality sound system I have had in a car.
I have played the stereo hard for a couple 2 hour drives and no issues with the cars electrical system so I think it's safe to say that with using highly efficient amps the car will hold up with throwing in 1500 watts...the actual wattage for the kicker amps is 563 for the 500.4 and 1024 for the 1000.1
I am still getting 40 miles on the battery with me jammin hard which doesn't make sense to me but then again I'm no electrical guru either.....The APM is raising the voltage to 15.1 when I crank up the volume so I'm not sure if this will cause the battery to degrade faster or not.
At moderate listening levels, amps don't need a lot of power, you're probably only pulling 100-200 watts most of the time, and the car is probably pulling 1,000 watts to run all its other systems even when its not moving, so I wouldn't expect to see any difference in real world range. My amps could pull up to 900 watts at full power and I don't notice any difference in range.
Yeah, the Volt has a relatively small amount of interior air space, and with the subs occupying the same air space, unlike a sub mounted in the trunk of a car, they can generate some high volume levels.
Glad it worked out well and you're happy, its a clean install

Could I get the schematics for the line level signals as well? Looking to possibly do my own upgrades if I can get the info needed. I'm new to the forum so may be doing this incorrectly? If so, please let me know. And another stupid question, but how do you "PM"?
That's insane!
You cant void the entire cars warranty by swapping a part. The warranty just wont be applied to that part.
Read up on the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
