Bloomington-Normal Illinois, "EV Town"

This is a town in central Illinois that is taking EV adoption to the next level. It is about 65 miles from me but I have a co-worker who currently lives over there. He took a few pictures this afternoon of a few of the chargers and the Mitsubishi "I". I plan to visit this town soon to help support their commitment to EV's. I think this would be a great place to have a Volt meet-up in the future if anybody is interested. Here is a link to their website and a few pictures.

Woot! I have family there. Maybe they'll get an EV to be part of this.

My town, Madison, WI, has 24 (going on 26) public charging stations (currently free), and a population of 233K. That's roughly 10K ppl per station. They're usually empty when I get there; I guess we need more EVs!

How do other cities stack up to this?

What charging network is Blooington-Normal using? They don't have any public charging stations on chargepoint.net!
