Funny Cruze Vs. Volt review

I think it's pretty fair assuming you're bound and determined to directly compare a Cruze and a Volt. The facts are mostly right and opinions are opinions. Your opinion can't be wrong. Even though it's obviously a different opinion than we have. But he wasn't bashing the Volt at all.

I found his comments at the beginning and end pretty funny, though. Shows that us owners are out in force!

Same old, tired "thumb on the scale" comparison that only looks at stickers price, discounts the upgraded Volt trim and features, discounts the Volts superior ride, torque, etc. and ignores the Total Cost of Ownership over a 5 years span or so.

Also ignores the actual cars Volt drivers comparison shop with the Volt, and by and large it's not a Cruze, nor a trike motorcycle, nor a recumbent bicycle. The author kept referring to a BMW 3 series (which IS often cross shopped with a Volt), but chooses the Cruze as his comparison even though the BMW would have been a more apt comparison. Sloppy thinking or someone with an agenda.

I actually laughed when said he could not see anything innovative about the Volt. No one is more blind than someone who refuses to see, haha.

LOL when he claims 90% of the fuel economy of the Volt. Only if you never plugged the Volt in ...

I have a 2012 Volt and a 2012 Cruze LT, and I can tell you that comparing the Cruze to the Volt is about as useful as comparing the Cruze to the Silverado (after all they're all Chevrolet).

The simpletons writing these one dimensional comparisons should stick to telling us that dollar store peanut butter is a better buy than Jif.

I didn't find anything funny about the review. A fair comparison is Volt versus BMW, say a Series 3.

And what about the dealer not having any in stock? Or selling the first one before the car hit the lot. That didn't seem to sink in either.

And how about the fact that it burns Wyoming coal, and not middle east oil?
