Default Hands Free: OnStar voice recognition system

What Hand Free command do you use? I've used the ones in blue.
    Examples I've used:
    - "Navigation go to 'Home James' <voice destination tag>"
    - "Navigation go to 'outdoor racquetball' <voice route tag>"
    - "Radio 101.9 FM"
    - "Radio one hundred point three FM"
    - "Display day mode"
    - "Navigation voice off"

I wish they'd have a command for SPORTs mode - 'Home James' - urbandictionary.com It's a movie cliche. The original saying (to the coach driver) was supposedly "Home, James, and don't spare the horses!"
    ---------
Hands Free: This command instructs the system to enter the OnStar voice recognition system.
See “Hands-Free Calling” in the OnStar Owner's Guide for more information.

The only one I use is the very annoying
    Hands free
    bluetooth
    Call XX

Anything else is the system misunderstanding me -- which is unfortunately too often.

Great list. I LOVE the idea of being able to set Sport Mode this way!

If "hands free" could be disconnected from "shut up and pay attention to the road dumb a$$", I might be interested. I spent way to many year recreating accidents for legal cases that could have been easily avoided if only "shut up and pay attention to the road dumb a$$" had been the mode of operation.

Huh? If I'm driving down the load and I can push the "hands free" button on the steering wheel without looking and then say: "Radio 101.9 FM" all while keeping my eyes on the road. This is in contrast to me taking my eyes off the road and pushing the radio button and then selecting "101.9 FM".

There are more than your eyes that are involved when you doing other things besides "paying attention to the road dumb a$$". When you are controlling a 2 ton missile any type of distraction should be avoided. I will not drive and talk on a cell phone, even the hands free version. If the car is moving I am concentrating on the most important task, which is controlling the vehicle and everything that is around me. Yes, I select the audio system I want before engaging the the drive system.

I can't tell you how many accidents I have investigated that could have been easily avoided if only ....

Where can I find the "“OnStar Owner's Guide"? I went through my glovebox, my file folder with all my Volt stuff and it is no where to be found. Can someone scan in the front cover of theirs so I know what I'm looking for? Maybe the dealer left it out of all the paperwork that was supposed to be in the glove box.

I did a google search for those words and found this page where you can download the guides.

The commands above came from the Volt manual. May have been my 2011. The 2012 has a separate NAV manual.

I went through my glove box again, still could not find the OnStar Owner's Guide. I called OnStar to find out how I get one and was told to call the dealer as they should be putting them in when we get the car. So... I called the dealer and spoke to my saleman. He said that GM is no longer supplying the OnStar Subscriber's Information kit as part of the documentation they supply to the purchaser and some of that information has been rolled into the regular vehicle owner's manual. Sounds like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing...

I found the voice recognition info on page 70 of the 2012 Navigation manual. Apparently, in 2011, it was in the owner's manual.
