Wouldn't trust any of them because they have no ethics.

Venture capital has its share of issues but seemingly in spite of themselves they occasionally deliver value. Private equity? They deliver first to themselves and then to their investors, adding little to the economy except in the rare situation.

What they do best is lobby for ridiculous tax breaks that lets them treat ordinary income as capital gains.
BINGO I to agree. I have a friend who flips houses and all they are concerned about it maximizing profits even if it means sacrificing quality. He is also the same person who complains about all the fraud with the home loans, but now complains because the banks are requiring all kind of information before approving a loan. Amazing how some people want the rules to apply to others, but not themselves.

If he is the "savior" of American car companies, why did he let his father's American Motors Company (AMC) disappear? It was sold by Renault to Chrysler and at that time (1987) he was rich and influential enough to save it.

AmpOhm thanks for posting about the article. It is well written and conveys a very important and positive message.

Also, in reading through the other responses and coming across Romney and AMC, I thought back ... way back ... to a new 1969 AMX 390 that I had while in college. Super fast and fun for that era but it absolutely would not stop with all of the weight on the front end.

Transitioning from the inertia of outdated AMC-Styled dumbfounded cognitive dissonance and progressing into the light of contemporary vehicle technology is spectacular. I'm real glad to be affiliated with the Forum and the Mechanism of Change (Prius,Volt, Leaf, etc)!

Thanks again for posting the article. It clearly sets a positive vision associated with important evolutionary-revolutionary automotive issues, in which the Volt is on the leading edge.
