CHICAGO—Local Motors Inc. is racing to produce what it calls a 3-D printed car in four days at a manufacturing-technology trade show here. But it won't be as simple as making a printout on a computer printer.

The project, in collaboration with the Energy Department's Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee, aims to rebut critics who say three-dimensional printing processes are too slow and too expensive for mass-produced goods.

Bleh, the internet was so much better before 2001 when people could care less about copywrite.

In any event, he could paraphrase the jist of what was in the article and voila everything is fine so long as he linkies to the source.

Give it a few days. Maybe the WSJ article will become available for all. I've not had this problem in the past when the story was old enough.

The WSJ has an arrangement with Google that they provide full articles for Google to scrape and for Google searchers to read. There is a limit on the number of articles you can read this way in a day but at least for 4 or 5 it is ok. Just copy the headline from the WSJ article into the full site version of google (in the past it didn't work with the mobile version though that may have changed) do the search and you will get links that are to the full article. These are usually available within minutes of the article being posted at the WSJ.
