    Default Topoff charge?

I was wondering if you do topoff charge. I drove for a short trip and only used a mile or two ev. Do you normally top it off for the next morning or just use what's stored?

Personally, I just plug it in. The difference really isn't enough to matter, but it's habit (and a habit I'd hate to lose, lest I forget on another occasion.)

It depends on how far I have to go the next day. If I know I will have a nice cushion the next day without having to worry about running the battery down, then I leave it unplugged. Otherwise, I plug it in.

The car should always be plugged in when possible so that the battery is kept at the best temperature that ensures long life.

I agree about just plugging it in. Good habit. Good for the battery. Good for the range.

Will the battery not maintain its temperature when it is not plugged in?

It will but it then uses battery power to do so, it is more efficent and better for range to allow the charger power to do it.
